Let’s Raise the Roof

Our 2024 Pura Vida Mission Trip is a GO!

Enough people have signed up, so the trip is on. Eight members of FUMC, Loveland, along with four friends/family, will be traveling to Guatemala in February to help with construction of a cinder-block home. They will be providing labor, but there is still a need to cover the costs of materials and the local Guatemalan construction crew. Since ours is a small team, we’re only expected to raise enough to cover costs for half the house.

You can help! Any size donation is greatly appreciated, but if you’d like to become a virtual team member, for a donation of $250 or more, you’ll receive exclusive photo and video access during the construction process and optionally have your name displayed on the trip webpage.

We will be building a home for La Familia Tulujan in Lemoa. I don’t have individual names of the family members yet, but the family consists of a mother, father, and 5 children ages 9, 7, 4, 3 and 1.

Our congregation has been going to Guatemala with Pura Vida to construct homes since 2016. Through our labor and donations, we have helped provide shelter for about a dozen families. Thanks to all of you who have shared your skills and money to make this world a little better for some deserving folks.
